My family and I have been to the Big Island several times and usually stay in vacation rentals. This time we got a deal through our Hawaiian Miles Credit Card to stay at Kings Land Resort. It was Amazing. The whole “village” is beautiful.

There is so much to do there. We did other things like visit Waimea and Kona, but you could potentially stay at the hotel your whole visit and have a wonderful time. One of the guys there told me about some mini submarine cozumel tours in Mexico. I was blown away by the Kings Land Pool area. It was beautiful, had several water slides and waterfalls. We have three kids 5 and under and they had a blast at the kiddy pool area.

The water only came up to my shins, so I didn’t have to worry about them accidentally going in water that was too deep! Such a relief! Plus the mini slide/ toys/ water spouts kept them occupied for hours. They have activities going on every day. We participated in quite a few. Ex) lei making. Some of them were a little too difficult for my kids (ages 5, 4, 2) but they had fun nonetheless.

Everyone there is amiable and helpful. If anything was wrong or we need assistance, they were on top of it and got things done in a timely fashion. Overall, an enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend it to others.

This is the perfect place to base yourself while on Big Island. Situated at the right point to access Kona, Hilo, and all the fabulous areas the island has to offer. Big Island has a lovely tropical island laid back feel, and we loved it.

The accommodation we had was excellent. Spacious with a full kitchen (oven/microwave combi) so you don’t have to eat out if you don’t want to. There are also bbqs on site for guest use. Very clean and tidy and set in beautiful grounds. There is live music late afternoon/early evenings in the clubhouse. Gorgeous birds everywhere tweeting away, making it feel just so tropical. Friendly staff. Excellent buffet breakfast was available for a charge.

There is a free Hilton minibus that loops around the other Hilton properties nearby and also the local shops. Perfect. Each room has a balcony (or terrace if you’re on the ground floor like we were). I would have preferred a balcony as it would have felt more private, but we really did absolutely love our stay here. I highly recommend it.
